Celebrating Achievement Together!

We are thrilled to share a remarkable journey of perseverance and success from one of our own, Alexander Beitter, and his incredible wife, Valerie.

In 2018, Alex took the courageous step to return to education after a four-year break following high school. Starting with an AS in Process Technology from Kenai Peninsula College, he didn’t stop there. Inspired to push further, Alex pursued a BS in Applied Technologies Leadership at UAA. During this journey, he discovered UAA’s Masters in Project Management Program and, with relentless determination, became the first student to graduate as an accelerated student from this program.

Simultaneously, Valerie embarked on her own academic pursuit, joining the highly competitive BS Dental Hygiene program at UAA. Together, they navigated the challenges of dual enrollment, full-time employment, and personal commitments, graduating together this Spring Semester 2024.

Alex credits his wife Valerie for her unwavering encouragement, his stable employment at Dowland-Bach, and the support from the Alaska Trappers Association, which helped finance his education through their Fur Auction at Fur Rondy.

Congratulations, Alex and Valerie, on your incredible achievements! Your story is a testament to dedication, hard work, and the power of support systems. We are proud to have you as part of the Koniag Energy & Water family.
